Sara Beylor is one of many new teachers at Central. She works with special education and also coaches junior varsity
volleyball. She is a paraprofessional at CHS.

Beylor went to Shepherd University and majored in exercise science. She works with the special education students;
however, she only started working with them this past year. While looking for a coaching job, the opportunity to work
at Central came up, and she took it.

“I get to work with different kinds of kids, and they all have their own personalities and everyone’s different,” Beylor
said when asked about her favorite part of the job. She enjoys working at Central and definitely wants to continue
coaching the JV team and helping the Special Education students. Beylor also said that the faculty at CHS is really
supportive and friendly to work with, and they made her feel very welcomed as a new teacher.

As the junior varsity coach here at Central, Beylor works with students from 8th grade to 10th. “Last year I was
coaching at James Wood Middle School in Winchester,” Beylor said. “So coming from middle school to high school,
it’s definitely different, the rules are different, the players are different, the level of skill is different.” Beylor played
as a setter her freshman year at Sherando in Stephens City. She also played a few years of travel ball, where her position
was a hitter.

Beylor is very excited for next JV season with many younger players moving up to play. She thinks that this
season the girls learned a lot and that the upcoming ninth graders will be a great asset to the team. She’s expecting
big things for next year, not only for her volleyball team, but for her future as a paraprofessional working with the
students.
